I am Nisaa Faiz, Owner and Designer for Sanaa Artisan Jewelry.

It is a pleasure to introduce myself and to share my blog posts with you.

I have been designing jewelry for more than 30 years and love it with a passion.  Yes, I said passion, because that’s what it takes to turn a hobby into a business. When I started designing jewelry many years ago, and it was merely a hobby, something that I was interested in doing for style.  The reward of my labor was most times, a unique item that I designed and was proud of for my wardrobe. I could add the colors, and the extra touches for my taste and what I liked.

Over time, as my collection of accessories expanded, my friends and colleagues began to observe that my designs stood out from the typical store offerings – they were distinctive. I took pride in that! I always aimed to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Even if it was a simple modification like switching the findings from gold to silver on a basic design, it resulted in a unique and fresh appearance.

Are All Stones created Equal?

​After years of browsing stones at bead shows and other locations, I realized that "not all stones are equal." This realization prompted me to delve into the study of gemstones, including their origins and the spiritual and health properties linked to authentic earth stones. As I delved deeper into the spiritual and health advantages of gemstones, my urge to disseminate this knowledge expanded. I have conducted classes for enthusiastic audiences seeking to expand their understanding.

In creating this blog, I will share everything beads and stones. Have you ever wondered if your stones are authentic or want to know the origin of certain types of stone? Have you heard that a certain stone has healing properties and would like to have a little more information on what how healing properties are actually explained?

Meeting people who have a passion for creating and designing jewelry has been a delightful and invigorating experience. Consequently, I aim to provide content in each blog that caters to all enthusiasts of handmade jewelry, whether you are a designer or simply intrigued by gemstones and exquisite beads. The world of stones and beads is fascinating and we are about to explore!
